Youth Program
Creating safe spaces for youth to connect, participate, and grow.
Youth at Risk provides culturally sensitive programming for Indigenous children and youth, creating opportunities to build relationships, participate in healthy activities, try new experiences, and stay connected with community.
Through supervised recreation, cultural activities, summer programming, and other opportunities throughout the year, the program helps reduce isolation while creating spaces where young people can feel welcomed, supported, and included.

Creating Connection
Sometimes what matters most is having somewhere to go, people who know you, and opportunities to be part of something. Youth at Risk creates spaces where young people can spend time together, strengthen friendships, connect with culture and community, and know there are caring adults around them.
Youth at Risk also helps support other Hiiye'yu Lelum youth programming, including Summer Camp. As children and youth grow, these connections can introduce them to other opportunities and relationships within Youth Services.
Rather than having to start over with every program, young people can continue seeing familiar faces, strengthening relationships, and finding new ways to participate as they grow.
